Rubik's Cube
When you say puzzle, many people think of what a classic Rubik's cube is. The mechanical puzzle made of plastic was created by Ernő Rubik, a Hungarian inventor, sculptor and professor of architecture in 1944. All of us have held it in our hands at some point; everyone has at least some idea how to use it. If you don't have a Rubik's cube at home, order the classic form or one of the innovative versions. The two-coloured Rubik's Snake, which you can shape into a sphere or other shapes, is also well known. Younger children will benefit from a simpler cube that contains fewer colours. The Rubik's cube stimulates sensory-motor and combinatorial skills.
