How would Neil Gaiman imagine the Marvel world in the 17th century? It's the year 1602, and strange things are starting to happen in England. Court sorcerer Dr. Stephen Strange, in the service of Queen Elizabeth, senses that the strange weather plaguing the skies is not of natural origin. Her Majesty's chief spymaster, Sir Nicholas Fury, thwarts an attack on the queen's life by winged warriors allegedly serving the mad despot von Doom. Rumors spread of sightings of members of the "devil's breed" - young people with fantastic superhuman abilities and powers. And at the center of all this growing chaos stands Virginia Dare, a girl who recently arrived from the New World accompanied by a massive Native American warrior. Can Fury and his allies uncover the connection between all these unusual occurrences before the world ends?
