Fabulous stories tell of an undiscovered land far beyond the turbulent sea. A fertile land, an uninhabited land, a land waiting for conquerors. Chiefs thirsting for power and glory have sent their bravest clan warriors to occupy these virgin shores in their name... Which clan will dominate the mysterious lands of distant Northgard? 

The game Northgard: Uncharted Lands, based on the world of the video game Northgard set in Viking times. It is full of conquest and exploration. Each player controls a Viking clan seeking victory primarily through the occupation and control of the most valuable territories on this new uninhabited continent. 

The game features accessible rules and mechanics that allow for a fast and dynamic gaming experience.

- Each year, players take turns making their moves to adapt their strategies to their opponents' moves and newly discovered territories.

- Glory (i.e. victory points) can be obtained through exploration, combat, control, and development of territories.

- Corresponding actions are played using cards that players have in hand.

- At the end of each year, each player selects a new card to enhance their deck as their clans develop new tactics and technologies. 

Conquering Northgard also requires clever resource management to build new buildings, improve the efficiency of your warriors, upgrade your hand cards, and expand your clan's territory. During the winter phase, this management becomes even more challenging as you must feed your warriors to keep them healthy and content. 

The pace of the game is determined by the players, as the game usually ends after seven years with the player boasting the greatest glory, but it can end earlier if one player controls three enclosed territories hosting three major buildings. 

This edition also includes the Monsters module, which introduces wild animals and creatures from Viking mythology into the game, each with different effects that can significantly influence the course of the game. However, they behave according to certain rules, and while their actions, though unpleasant, can be anticipated and adapted to. Monsters can also be defeated in combat, earning valuable glory points (VP). 

The game is designed for 2 to 5 players aged 12 and above.
