Námitka! ( Lawyer Up!) is an asymmetrical two-player game set in a dramatic courtroom environment. One player represents the honest and fair prosecution, the other the unwavering and tenacious defense. Each game begins with an introduction to the case file, during which the players choose vital evidence cards with which to support their case or, conversely, bury evidence that could help their opponent.
Then comes the main trial, where players call witnesses and play the vital argument cards in their interrogation space alongside their chosen evidence. In order to maintain a coherent line of questioning, they will need to chain their cards through the corresponding bias symbols.
The player who is best able to cross-examine the summoned witness will then spend the influence gained to impress the jurors present in favour of their side. Every game is different, but the lawyer with the best built case and the most persuasive arguments will undoubtedly achieve the desired jury verdict!
The Czech version of the game brings Season 1 in a common box. Each case has its own deck of cards and witnesses, and there are minor adjustments to the basic rules in each case.
