In the game Beer & Bread, two people compete in friendly rivalry. As representatives of a small village, they compete for six years to produce the tastiest beer and bake the best bread. Players share fields and resources, but their own actions determine victory and defeat. Only the one who creates a balance between beer and bread will win, as only the less lucrative resource is scored. The game Beer & Bread takes place in six rounds, representing six years - alternating between fertile and dry. Each year, fields are first sown with resource markers and then cards are dealt. In the action phase, cards are played alternately. Each card has three parts: Harvest and storage, Production and sale, and Improvement and cleaning. However, only one action can be used at a time. Players must therefore carefully consider which action they want to use next. Fertile years are particularly challenging because in these years, hands are exchanged with cards after each turn. Beer & Bread is the first installment of the Deep Print Games series "Pro 2" designed specifically for two players.
