I come from a nation of storytellers. The stories of our elders speak of a time when frost, hunger and relentless predators drove us from our homes. In desperation, we decided to follow the migrating herds across the Beringian Bridge, far away, to a new continent. It was a long and difficult journey. And now we stand here, living proof that our fathers managed to survive. Our new home is covered in ice and snow, and yet we are proud victors. The land is harsh and unforgiving, but it is ours. We are a resilient people of eternal winter. Living in harsh conditions has toughened us and taught us much. The tribal explorers can find the best places for our villages among the glaciers and rocks. The hunters are able to track and hunt even the biggest game. A single mammoth can feed a settlement for weeks. The elders pass their experience from generation to generation. Without them, our legacy would be forever lost among the elements. And our art, our tools, our rituals evolve with us. The heavens are our greatest guide. When the sun is swallowed by darkness, it heralds great change. Thus comes a time of ceremony, celebration and contest. Even now we stand on the threshold of a new age, and it is to us, the leaders of this indomitable tribe, that all the people turn again...

Journey back to 10,000 B.C. and take the lead of the nomadic tribes that have shaped American history. From hunters and gatherers to thriving tribal communities. During your travels, you'll settle new territories, explore new discoveries, hunt game, and build megalithic structures that will last the ages.

Eternal Winter is a strategy game that combines worker placement and deck building in new and unique ways. Each round, you pay with resources and cards for the activities you send your tribe members to perform. Your people give you a few extra handy hands, while culture cards have a variety of effects. You can also keep the cards and use them at the end of the round in the Eclipse Phase, when their effects are simultaneously revealed to decide the new player order and trigger further actions. There are other systems and mechanics in the game, such as multi-use cards, territory combat, laying down pieces and collecting sets. There are many paths to victory. After four quick rounds, the score is calculated and the tribe with the most points wins.

The game is designed for 1-4 players ages 12 and up.
