Ve hře Ubongo Junior 3D hráči musí nejprve zakrýt světlou plochu na kartě herními dílky. Poté pokračují v duchu hesla "všichni chtějí do výšky", to znamená, že se snaží na již hotové základně ze svých zbývajících dílků postavit co nejvyšší věž. To vše musí zvládnout během určeného časového limitu. Jakmile čas vyprší, hráči si změří výšku svých věží pomocí speciálního žirafometru a obdrží odpovídající počet drahokamů. Vítězí hráč, který má po šesti kolech nejvíce drahokamů.
Hra Ubongo Junior 3D obsahuje: 50 karet se 100 zadáními, 32 herních 3D dílků, 120 drahokamů, plátěný sáček, přesýpací hodiny a žirafometr se dvěma stojánky. Česká pravidla jsou samozřejmostí.
