Product detailed description
Part of the GMT Lunchtime Series, Twilight Struggle: The Card Game is a two-player game that builds on the award-winning game Twilight Struggle.
It is the year 1974 and the Soviet Union and the United States are fighting for their lives all over the world. As often happened during the Cold War, a relatively unknown area of the globe suddenly came into focus. Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I, a key ally of the USA in Africa, aged and became increasingly dictatorial. When he was overthrown in 1974, a Marxist coalition took power. This new revolutionary leadership set off a chain of events that disrupted the regional balance of power and unleashed all the familiar elements of Cold War rivalry in the Horn of Africa.
Twilight Struggle: The Card Game has a more limited scope and a much shorter playing time: It is the ideal way to introduce new players to the Twilight Struggle system while maintaining all the tension, decision-making, and theme of the original classic game. Cards from Twilight Struggle can be used in TS: Red Sea and vice versa.
