The moon is slowly but steadily approaching Earth. It touched the surface and tore a deep rift across continents, mountain ranges, and oceans. It stopped in the now dried-up Pacific Ocean. Chaos and destruction have destroyed the Earth and its inhabitants. This chaos increased even more when the Moon revealed itself as "kami" (an ancient Japanese god) - the white dragon TSUKUYUMI. TSUKUYUMI, banished to the night sky eons ago, was awakened by Japanese warriors who sought to rid themselves of their divine creators. Finally, the time for TSUKUYUMI's revenge has come...

In a post-apocalyptic world, humanity is on the brink of extinction, while animal species mutated under the influence of TSUKUYUMI and became larger and stronger than ever before. All these different factions are now fiercely fighting for survival and dominance over the world.

TSUKUYUMI is a board game without luck that requires players to have specific strategic abilities. Its special appeal lies in the clash of diverse, asymmetrical factions. At the beginning, each player chooses one of the five factions. Factions bring their own abilities, units, and strategies. The game therefore changes depending on which factions meet on the battlefield.

However, the values and abilities of the factions do not guarantee victory. Numerous test matches have shown: it is the players who find new combinations and the right moments to use the specific characteristics of the factions, who notice the weaknesses of their teammates and exploit them to their advantage. In this way, they shape their faction and bring to life creatures and their stories.
