In this lively card game full of collecting sets and sophisticated bluffing, 2 to 5 heroes plan their journey to become the most famous heroes of epic legends!

Tavern Tales is played over a varying number of rounds. In each round, players take turns as follows:

STEP 1: Use your hero cards to stake your claim. Choose one of the locations in the game and state what treasures you claim to have found there or how many creatures you have slain.

STEP 2: Challenge your companions. Other players can now use their hero cards from hand to challenge your claims and try to gain glory for themselves.

STEP 3: Turn your stories into legends. After some mutual skirmishes and strategic bluffing, the ultimate winner of the claims is declared. This player collects the disputed treasure or creature cards and earns points based on how many of these same cards they had previously collected. Thanks to this aspect of set collection, players are motivated to stay ahead in one or several types of claims to emerge victorious.

The game ends when one player reaches enough glory to become the most famous hero of epic legends!
