Far in the north, in a remote winter landscape, rivers are frozen for most of the year. When the villages along the rivers are finally accessible, a small company specializing in river cruises offers exotic trips, such as safari with polar bears, reindeer rides, ice fishing, and more. Happy tourists may even have a chance to see the Northern Lights.

You work as a guide and try to attract tourists to your guide boats for magnificent trips.

Riverside is a different kind of role-playing game: The game comes with a modular game board that forms the route of the game. Everyone travels on the river cruise ship along the same route, but you can take your tourists on different excursions. You can plan ahead, but beware, the dice may force you to change your plans.
