It is the year 1347 AD. A disaster is looming. The Black Death is approaching, and within the next few years, a large part of the population of Europe and North Africa will be killed by the plague. In the game Rattus, players settle in various regions of Europe and North Africa while the plague spreads through all these regions. Players receive help from various medieval professions. Some, like farmers and bakers, help players increase their population. Others, like Monks and Nuns, use wisdom and faith to avoid the plague, while war actions led by Knights and Soldiers spread the plague to new areas. However, the plague makes no distinctions. When the rats appear, no one can feel safe. Eventually, the plague recedes, and the game ends. Only then will it be clear who managed to keep their population alive and win the game! Rattus: Big Box not only includes several previously released expansions and promos but also unpublished materials, modules, and bonus cards. Specifically, this renewed edition of the Rattus series includes all the materials from the base game and the expansions Pied Piper, Africanus, and Academicus. It also includes additional new content, and players can add new modules "Guilds and Inns" and "Bonuses," creating even greater diversity and challenge. This edition also includes popular bonus cards like Judge, Jester, and Boccaccio, and all 27 tiles for level increase. The game is in the English language.
