Lorenzo il Magnifico is a complex strategy game with a minimum of chance. Players will place members of their families in different neighborhoods of Florence to perform actions for them. However, these family members will not always be the same, as their value will be different each round. Players will conquer new territories, sponsor the construction of majestic buildings, support the development of daring business ventures, and surround themselves with notable personalities. If players are truly cunning and powerful, they may attract the attention of the most famous celebrities of their time, whose skills they can then use.

Houses of Renaissance is an expansion in which each of the players and the rulers of the noble houses gains a powerful special ability. Houses of Renaissance also allows a fifth player to be added to the game, bringing new game elements and cards.

The Pazzi Conspiracy includes a card expansion (24 action cards) that adds more interactivity and can be used to replace cards from the base game. It also adds two new Houses to the Houses of Renaissance expansion.
