Lockup: Roll Player Tale is a competitive worker-placement game for one to five players. Players control groups of minions - gnolls, kobolds, bugs, goblins or insectoids - who are locked up in Kulbak prison.

Each round, players try to keep their suspicions in check while their crew is assigned to different locations in Kulbak. The player with the strongest crew in each location at the end of the round gains the most resources, hires a stronger crew, and produces even more powerful items, increasing their reputation. The player with the highest reputation at the end of six rounds wins the game.
