The nurse brought the medication somehow earlier than usual. You don't know if you were more startled by her blank stare or the dozen different medicine jars she brought in on the tray. Futile resistance and a silicone glove with pills in your throat are the last things you remember. ...you're slowly coming to yourself again. You feel strange. Suddenly you feel like the pills you've been swallowing have started to turn into spiders. You can feel them in your stomach. Scratching, swarming and laying eggs. You need something sharp. Anything. You need to get them out...
In Lobotomy, players put themselves in the shoes of patients trying to escape a mental institution together. This is a cooperative game for 1-5 players in a horror setting that falls under the "dungeoncrawl" heading.
Each player takes on the role of one inmate of a mental institution who can no longer be helped and is about to be lobotomized. These are warped personalities with a number of mental disorders that complicate their perception of the surrounding reality. The hospital staff see the patients as terrifying monsters and the objects of everyday life as magical artefacts. To avoid the frightening procedure, they devise an escape plan together, but even simple tasks seem like an otherworldly mission in their current state. Fortunately, they discover that their psychological disorders are not always a disadvantage, but can often be used to their own advantage. If you fail to complete your tasks in time, you will be caught by the hospital's head warden, strapped back into your beds and you will no longer escape your sad fate...
