Product detailed description

Prepare for entry into the poor and gloomy London district of Whitechapel in 1888 - the scene of the mysterious murders of Jack the Ripper - with crowded and stinking alleys, street vendors, shouting merchants, dirty children in rags running in the crowd begging for money, and prostitutes on every corner.

The board game Letters from Whitechapel, which takes 90-150 minutes to play, will take players there directly. One player plays Jack the Ripper and his goal is to take five victims before being caught. The other players are police detectives who must cooperate to catch Jack the Ripper before the end of the game. The game board represents the area of Whitechapel during the time of Jack the Ripper and is marked with 199 numbered circles connected by dashed lines. During the game, Jack the Ripper, police, and unfortunates move along the dotted lines representing the streets of Whitechapel. Jack the Ripper moves stealthily among the numbered circles, police move on their patrols between intersections, and the Unfortunates move on their own between the numbered circles.
