Zapadákov je další ze série gamebookových komiksů s názvem Komiks, v němž jsi hrdinou. Stejně jako v jiných dílech vaše rozhodnutí ovlivní to, kam bude směřovat celý příběh, v téhle knížce z Divokého západu je však k tomu všemu i nadstavba, ve které si budete stavět městečko. Zapadákov je prozatím nejhráčtějším dílem celé série.
Kniha Zapadákov je komiksový gamebook, tedy komiks kombinovaný se hrou.
Při čtení/hraní gamebooku prožijete s hlavním hrdinou v knize příběh, jehož průběh závisí na vašich rozhodnutích.
Kniha obsahuje list postavy, kam během čtení zaznamenáte čas, zranění, získané předměty a nakonec i vítězné body. Stručně lze čtení/hru komiksového gamebooku popsat tak, že následujete jednotlivé obrázky v knize. Obrázky obsahují stopy, hádanky a pasti a vy se musíte rozhodnout kam a jak budete pokračovat. Při sledování obrázků sbíráte stopy, luštíte hádanky a rozhodujete se, jak dál pokračovat. Jako v každé hře můžete také prohrát a někdy velmi rychle a krutě.
