A family game of the fauna and flora of the Indonesian rainforest.
A game from the authors of the successful HEAT.
HUTAN means rainforest in Indonesian and hutan hujan means rainforest. In this game, you will move to Indonesia where you will plant flowers and trees and attract animals while competing to see who has the most vibrant and breathtaking rainforest.
In HUTAN, you'll take turns picking flowers from the marketplace, which you'll then plant in your own personal rainforest. This flower planting always evolves based on previous decisions, with each game presenting a unique challenge thanks to the modular boards.
HUTAN is played over 9 rounds, with players playing two turns in each round. First, the player with the husk token prepares the market and plays one turn. Then it is the turn of the clockwise player and the round continues like this until all players have played two turns. Each turn consists of three phases performed in the following order:
1. PICKING FLOWERS - Take a flower card from the marketplace and the flowers shown on the card.
2. GROWING TREES AND FINISHING AREAS - Place trees and complete the growth area for your rainforest.
3. CREATING THE PERFECT BIOTOPE - If you can create the perfect habitat, you can attract animals.
After the ninth round you will run out of flower cards and the game ends.
HUTAN provides three game variants: Family, Advanced and Solo.
You can extend your HUTAN experience by completing 50 achievements embedded in scenarios, challenges and customizations.
