Players will achieve victory by securing political dominance in the Mediterranean region - they will need to plan and execute military campaigns and deal with various historical events. HAMILKAR is a standalone game in the same box. While it utilizes similar mechanics as HANNIBAL, it also introduces a naval system
and exciting naval battles. In this game, set during the First Punic War, the Roman Republic, relying on the power of its ground forces, will attempt to break through the chain of Mediterranean islands, capture the line of Carthaginian fortresses
and defeat the mighty Carthaginian fleet.
