America in the 19th century: You are a rancher and repeatedly drive your cattle from Texas to Kansas City, from where you send it by train. This way you earn money and victory points. It goes without saying that every time you arrive in Kansas City, you want to have your most valuable cattle with you. However, the "Great Western Trail" requires not only that you keep your herd in good condition, but also that you wisely use various buildings along the trail. It would also be good to hire capable staff: cowboys who would improve your herd, craftsmen who would build your own buildings, or engineers for an important railway line.

If you manage your herd wisely and navigate the opportunities and pitfalls of the Great Western Trail, you will surely earn the most victory points and win the game.

The second edition of the game Great Western Trail includes rules for solitaire, so the number of players is 1-4.

Great Western Trail is an award-winning cattle ranching game by Alexander Pfister. Players try to transfer their herd across the midwestern prairies and deliver it to Kansas City. But beware! Other cowboys share the trail with you. We invite you to saddle up!
