In the early history of the United States, slavery was something immutable and unquestioned, but through the efforts of brave women and men across the country, the institution was overthrown. Freedom: The Underground Railroad is a cooperative game for one to four players whose goal is to bring about the end of slavery in the United States. Players build a network of the abolitionist movement through card combinations featuring famous characters and events from American history from early independence to the Civil War. Players will have to strike the right balance between freeing slaves from plantations in the South and raising the funds they desperately need to finance their group's activities, as well as working to abolish the death penalty or gain popular support. Only through careful planning and working together can the group ultimately achieve victory!
