Product detailed description
Continuation of the game Scythe sends players on a new adventure to Siberia, where a huge meteorite crashed near the Tunguska River and awakened ancient destruction. The expedition led by Dr. Tarkovsky sets out into the taiga to learn about the meteorite and its impact on the earth. War heroes craving adventure privately fund their own expeditions to Siberia in hopes of finding artifacts, overcoming challenges, and ultimately achieving glory. The expedition is a competitive, card-driven, engine-building exploration game. It is designed to evoke similar feelings to the game Scythe, although its mechanisms are different: Play cards to gain strength, cunning, and unique abilities of workers; move your mech to mysterious locations and acquire cards found among the tiles; use workers, items, meteorites, and tasks to upgrade your mech; and use strength and cunning to defeat corruption.
The Ironclad Expeditions edition includes 5 large metal mechs (instead of plastic miniatures) and silicone bases (instead of plastic) and also a separately numbered box with foil lettering. All other components and game elements are exactly the same as in the standard Expeditions version.
