Twenty years ago, during the Klondike gold rush, over a hundred thousand prospectors ventured into the depths of the Alaskan territory. Most of them perished in the ice, a few of them struck it rich, and some awakened terrible, ancient evil. Now down in the usually mild Arkham, the wind blows stronger and colder than ever before. Miskatonic is frozen. Some people complain of insatiable hunger and newspapers occasionally write about cannibalism. You know very well that the weather and hunger are caused by the Elder Ones, but this time you cannot fight them from the Arkham Museum, or even outside in the streets of Arkham. You must bravely face the cruel conditions that killed thousands of prospectors, and fight against wild creatures from this and other worlds, otherwise winter, hunger, and ice will destroy humanity.

Omens of Ice will take you and your fellow investigators on a treacherous journey into the Alaskan wilderness, where you must solve the mysteries of three new terrifying Elder Ones. Whether you choose to travel in the summer, or are forced to embark on the journey in the winter darkness, at every step you will face terrifying dangers, from the port of Anchorage to forest paths and mountain passes inland. You must constantly fight not only with wild animals and predatory creatures, but also with frostbite, hunger, and madness, which will afflict many who enter this chilling, isolated, white world.
