This box brings a brand new Ancient One that you can use in combination with any episode (from any season!) and create a completely new gaming experience as you try to defeat the danger of the Wind-Walker and his Shantak followers!

Ithaqua, the son of Hastur and the Lord of Winds, is a powerful Great Old One himself; a terrifying giant who crawls through icy wastelands and kills anyone he encounters in order to achieve his goal of freeing the other Great Old Ones. His power lies in gathering and controlling blizzards and fierce snowstorms, and in the game Death May Die it is no different, as whenever Ithaqua is the chosen Elder, a blizzard token is placed on the game board, forcing any investigator who enters it to fully deplete their stress and unable to heal it. And what's worse, every time Ithaqua advances, the snowstorm moves towards the investigators and summons a Shantak from within the storm. From this point on, the situation only worsens for the investigators. As Ithaqua approaches our realm, the snowstorm intensifies, moves more frequently across the game board, causes more tension, damage, and hinders movement. As the Lord of Winds, all his cultists are completely immune to the freezing weather and freely move and attack the investigators. Ithaqua brings his devastating weather effects to the game board, offering a completely new experience in battling the Old Ones.

Shantaks are huge bird-like creatures with horse heads that visit the Ancient Ones. These creatures are incredibly resilient and their tenacity makes it difficult for investigators to quickly eliminate them. Thanks to their long association with Ithaqua, the Shantaks have learned to use the fierce winds of the Great One to enter our realm, and what's worse, as long as they are near the blizzard, they are in their most terrifying form, forcing investigators to stress out before they attack or are attacked. Shantaks constantly chip away at the investigators' stress, making it difficult for them to manipulate dice rolls. The sooner you get rid of these creatures, the better - which would be much easier if it weren't for their aforementioned resilience...
