Comanchería is a solitary game that will take players back to a time when the wheels of caravan wagons had just begun to plow through the grass of the prairies. Back to a time when herds of bison were counted in the millions. Back to a time when the Comanches were the "Lords of the Southern Plains."

In the game Comanchería , the player will have to make key decisions as they lead their people in the epic conquest of the Southern Plains. As a player, you must carefully balance the development of your own culture against the relentless pressure of an increasingly hostile colonial adversary.

Using game mechanics from Navajo Wars, Joel Toppen challenges you in Comanchería to conquer and dominate the southern plains of North America. But it won't be easy! In your quest to dominate hunting grounds, you will face aggressive northern tribes such as the Osages, Poncas, Cheyennes, and Arapahos. The New Mexico colony to the west has expansionist ambitions. To the south lies Mexico and its new colony, Texas. And to the east lies the greatest threat of all - the United States of America.

Facing the overwhelming force of colonial powers, you will need to use your mobility and tactical prowess to conquer and then maintain your empire against an unrelenting wave of enemy incursions. Throughout the game, you will witness historical events - the opening of the Santa Fe Trail, the enactment of the Indian Removal Act, the founding of the Republic of Texas, or the outbreak of the American Civil War - all from the perspective of the Lords of the Southern Plains!
