In the alternative storyline of Tides of Time, the first major expansion of Anachrony, the four original Paths and the newly created sangvinic Path of Unity gained access to a powerful new technology called Flux. Flux Cores can be obtained in the Valley of Amethynia, the new main expansion zone. By using Flux Cores to power their Fracture device, players can instead of placing a new action tile, move ("blink") one of their already placed Exosuits to a new action tile or immediately retrieve one of their workers or action tokens. This can lead to unprecedented action efficiency, but like with Time Rifts, Flux technology is a double-edged sword. Without a sufficiently advanced Rift device, its overuse can cause Temporal anomalies; hectic negative effects such as closing slots for docks in Exosuits, temporary disabling of buildings, or increased player susceptibility to Anomalies.

The Valley also hides other secrets. The advanced technology of Operators allows players to remove Temporal anomalies, upgrade their classic Path technology with new gadgets, and even acquire Harvesters as a new powerful class of Workers who are immune to the side effects of Flux.
